COVID-19 Protocols

Body & Mind Osteopathic Clinic has implemented extra Covid-19 sanitary precautions and preventive measures while maintaining high-quality care in our office. The health, safety and well-being of our staff, patients and community are of the utmost importance to us.

If you, or someone in your family, has exhibited flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, severe muscle aches, shaking chills, or recent loss of taste or smell, DO NOT ATTEND the appointment.

Here are the procedures we will follow, so that your treatments are safe and effective:

SELF-MONITORING

If you have an appointment scheduled and you are feeling unwell, or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 (fever, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of sense of smell/taste, etc.), please self isolate and contact public health.  Contact us as soon as possible so that we can cancel and reschedule your appointment.

BOOKING

Bookings can be made through the online booking site, phone or email.  If you have questions about booking, please reach out to me directly through phone or email.  I aim to respond to messages within one business day.

COVID-19 SCREENING/CONSENT FORM

Within 24 hours of your appointment you will receive a Covid-19 screening questionnaire and consent form to fill out.  These will be sent through the booking system.  (Make sure to include emails from my booking system to your safe email list so that they arrive in your inbox!)
This Covid-19 screening must be filled out before arriving at the clinic for every appointment until further notice.
Screening must be completed successfully and honestly in order to go ahead with your appointment.

MASKS

All patients and accompanying persons must wear a face mask (cloth or medical) upon arrival and for the duration of their visit.

ARRIVING AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

To maintain physical distancing, only enter the clinic within 5 minutes of your appointment start time – there is no longer a “waiting area” within the clinic.

Plan ahead to account for traffic, parking and TTC delays.

Wear clothing appropriate for treatment to the clinic.  You will be treated in the clothing that you arrive in.  Avoid skirts, dresses and tight, restrictive pants. Please limit the amount of bags and belongings that you bring with you.

HAND HYGIENE

Use hand sanitizer when entering the clinicbefore you exit, and throughout your appointment as needed. You may also use the sink in the washroom to wash your hands with soap.

To avoid contamination, please dispose of any gloves that you’ve been wearing during your travels upon entry to the clinic.

SCREENING AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

We will be checking your temperature with a contactless thermometer.

If you have a fever greater than 37.8°, you will be asked to leave the clinic and contact your doctor for further evaluation.

GUESTS

Attend your appointment alone.  Exceptions to this are if you are in need of a caregiver, or if you are the guardian for a child’s appointment.

If there is a guest attending the appointment, please indicate this when booking.  Guests will also need to successfully complete covid pre-screening, and follow mask and hand hygiene protocols.

LATE ARRIVALS/LATE CANCELLATIONS/MISSED APPOINTMENTS

Please arrive on time for your appointment, and respect our cancellation policy – if you are running late and your appointment needs to be rescheduled, or need to cancel within the 48-hour cancellation window, or miss your appointment, you will be required to pay for the appointment and will receive an invoice the same day.

Our Policy

Please fill out online booking form or call (647) 995-7722 to schedule an appointment.

Calls are answered 9am to 8:00pm Monday – Friday, and 9:00am to 2:00pm Saturday. At other times please leave a message and your call will be returned at the start of the next business day.

We are not able to accommodate walk-in clients, but will do our best to schedule you as soon as possible, especially in an urgent case.

Please arrive for your appointment 10 minutes early to ensure a complete treatment. This allows time to compose yourself, use the washroom if necessary, and decompress prior to your treatment.

Late arrivals create significant problems in maintaining our schedules. As a courtesy to the clients following you, if you arrive late, your session may be shortened to the remainder of your scheduled appointment.

Please call us at (647) 352-7373 two days prior to your appointment to let us know if you need to reschedule or cancel.
If we do not receive prior notification, you will be charged for the missed appointment. 48 HOURS CANCELLATION FEE – $25 | 24 HOURS CANCELLATION FEE – $50

Out of consideration and respect for our time, if a patient does not show up for a scheduled appointment and does not provide any type of advance notice, the client may be charged the FULL price of the scheduled appointment.
